He’s no stranger to hard work, has eye for opportunities, and truly loves and respects the art of the deal. Jeff grew up going to auction days with his dad and uncle, and caught the bug for the business right after graduating high school. He dove right in, taking a job where he would clean machines, sort tooling, label items for auction, etc. And after that summer, he knew this was the only path he wanted to pursue.
After graduating from Missouri Auction School in 2000, he joined CIA Industrial fulltime, establishing the entry of a third generation of Luggens to work in the family business. He started out mostly on the road, traveling and prepping auctions with the work crew, the roll-up-your-sleeves daily grind that furthered his passion for the industry. He soon expanded into the sales and operations sides of the business, learning the ins and outs of industrial machinery, how to pitch their services and capabilities, and gather information for auction advertising. Until Joey and Ryan joined the business years later, his work was his life, and he loved living it.
Jeff has worn many hats over the years, but he currently focuses on pursuing new business and maintaining relationships with clients and partners. When he’s not tracking down new deals and opportunities, he enjoys spending time with family and his two dogs, Luna and Soju. He also loves to travel, visit national parks, go hiking, pretty much anything outdoors except sleeping.
